What is a US State Picker?
A US state picker wheel randomly selects one of the fifty United States (or a subset you choose) for geography games, quizzes, and road-trip planning.
About this free us state picker wheel
Spin American geography into something students look forward to. Defaults include eight populous states so you can demo immediately; paste all fifty when you need full coverage, or keep a regional subset for Midwest or South units.
Spin, then ask for capitals, abbreviations, or famous landmarks. Families planning summer travel can eliminate states already visited until a fresh destination remains. Population never skews the draw—Wyoming you add later is just as likely as California already on the list.
Import a full state CSV for lesson prep, use fullscreen on the classroom display, and track which states appeared via Results history.
How to use US State Picker Wheel
- 1
Add or edit your options
Type or paste US states into the options box—one entry per line. You can also import a CSV, shuffle the list, or load a quick preset.
- 2
Customize the look
Pick a wheel style (Classic, Sunset, Ocean, Candy, and more), turn sound on or off, and enable auto-remove winners for elimination rounds.
- 3
Spin the wheel
Press the Spin button or hit Space. A fair random winner is chosen before the animation; the wheel then decelerates smoothly until the pointer stops on that result.
- 4
